The Miami Dolphins’ offense and wide receiver Tyreek Hill are on a roll this season. From dropping 70 points on the Denver Broncos to rolling towards an NFL record for receiving yards in a season (Hill is currently on pace for around 2100), this team is can’t-miss TV for fans of offense-based football.
Hill could give fans watching on Monday night another milestone to check off the list.
According to the NFL’s communication department , Hill can match four other receivers with 9 games of 100 yards receiving and a touchdown in a season if he hits that mark on Monday against the Tennessee Titans.
That’s a lot of good company to be in. Three Pro Football Hall of Famers and a player in Cooper Kupp who came within 53 yards in 2021 from reaching 2000 receiving yards.
Hill has already long since eclipsed his number of games with 100+ yards and a touchdown from 2022 (three) with eight, and at the rate the Dolphins’ offense is going, it seems like a question of if rather than when that he gets to games number nine and ten to set the record himself.
Monday night’s game should give him the chance to tie the record. The Titans’ pass defense ranks sixth worst in the NFL allowing 7.6 yards per pass attempt. Last week, Tennessee allowed Gardner Minshew to throw for 312 yards as two Indianapolis Colts receivers reached the 100-yard receiving mark.
If that performance is repeated, then Hill will likely join some Hall of Fame company on Monday night before a national audience.
