New York Giants defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence is one of the best interior defensive linemen in the league. In 2022, he had a career year totaling 7.5 sacks, seven tackles for loss, and a staggering 28 quarterback hits.
In the last two seasons alone, Lawrence has had 12 sacks, 49 quarterback hits, and 14 tackles for loss and has been the Giants’ anchor on defense. Most of the time, Lawrence was the sole reason they’d get pressure on opposing quarterbacks, as they’d struggle to do so once he came off the field.
Lawrence’s play has earned him two straight Pro Bowl and All-Pro nods. He also was rewarded with a handsome payday last offseason, signing a four-year contract extension to remain with the Giants through the 2027 season. Lawrence will be a force to be reckoned with for years to come, and the Giants are certainly pleased with how his career has turned out thus far.
However, Lawrence isn’t only gifted in football. He’s also a massive gamer and has expanded his brand to include being a gaming content creator for Agent, founded in 2019 and whose website describes the business as “a versatile lifestyle brand with a focus on competitive gaming, entertainment, and apparel.”
Lawrence is joining the many NFL players who publicly show their gaming skills and will now have the opportunity to be a driving force in the gaming world. The new business partnership will not only increase his overall earnings but also his marketing exposure.
Lawrence’s new partnership also stands to open doors for new potential Giants fans; it goes the same the other way around. Giants fans could be inclined to check out what the gaming world has to offer, with Lawrence having a large influence on the company.
Gaming has become a huge industry over the last few years, with more NFL players becoming involved in a world outside of the football field. Lawrence taking this step and showing another side of him is a nice thing to see happen for the Giants’ star defensive tackle.
