Coventry City boss Robins has spoken about his January plans

Mark Robins has provided an update on Coventry City’s plans for the forthcoming transfer window. The Sky Blues boss is keen to add to his squad in January, and his priority is a dynamic midfielder in the Gus Hamer mould to help fill the void left by the Dutch player’s summer sale to Sheffield United.

Robins said recently he’d like at least one signing, possibly more at the mid-term trading point. But asked if there’s been any progress regarding possible business and whether deals are being lined up and ready to do, he told CoventryLive: “We’ll have to wait and see on that. I’m still sort of looking and we’re still working towards what we may or may not be able to do.”

“But I’ve got I’ve got to wait and see. We’re still looking and clearly we’ll be ready to go if we can. But again, we’re bedding in a lot of players. It depends on a number of factors, to be fair, and we have just got to wait and see how things develop. We’ll have to wait and see a little bit closer to the time but, like I say, we’re trying to get on with these lads that we got in the summer.”

Results have picked up in recent matches with City earning back-to-back victories against Millwall and Plymouth to end a six-game winless run.
