Coach Prime accused of being dramatic about Colorado football recruiting stories Guess What?

Footballscoop’s Doug Samuels was not ready to relay what Coach Prime said about what has been discussed in past Colorado football recruiting meetings with prospective Buffs — mainly that coaches are being caught on film by recruits talking ill of him and his program, and that Coach Prime himself is confronting these coaches by phone — without floating the possibility that Deion Sanders was being dramatic.

“Whether kids are actually rolling into the head coach’s office during visits recording everything being said, or it’s happening on phone calls or it’s another motivational tactic by Prime we’ve seen time and time again is up for you to decide,” Samuels wrote.

Sanders first shared these revelations with Robert Griffin III on the “RG3 and The Ones” podcast.

“I don’t allow our coaching staff to ever comment on another school,” Sanders prefaced before saying, “You don’t have to put another school down to put us up. I don’t play that. Our staff knows, the way you get fired is to let me hear you talk about another institution with a kid.

“Now…kids have recorded conversations with head coaches – not just assistants – head coaches, downing us and selling us out and just talking about us like a dog. I just politely call the head coach and say ‘Look here man, I don’t really know you, I wish the best for you, but be careful, because when these kids bring phones into your meetings, you are exposed to certain things. I’m not going to put you out there, but just keep my name out of your mouth.'”

Coach Prime’s Colorado football program defined by aggression

Shedeur and Shilo Sanders had public run-ins with Oregon, and Shedeur famously stood in the faces of the ASU student section after a 27-24 CU win and flashed his watch to the crowd; creating a viral trend that’d catch on in the NFL.

Now, Coach Prime is (allegedly) revealing his passive-aggressive run-ins with other coaches who recruit against Colorado.

The “Prime Time” Buffs are marked by aggression from its key figureheads, though not in a way that crosses the line; Coach Prime’s defense of Henry Blackburn amid death threats from Buffs fans springing to mind here.
