Breaking News: Greenberg Calls Out NFL Coaches Over Fields

With the Chicago Bears owning the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft for the second straight year, all signs point to the storied franchise keeping the pick and bringing in USC superstar quarterback Caleb Williams while also trading star quarterback Justin Fields elsewhere.

Ever since the 2023 NFL season came to an end for the Bears, the team has been pursuing it’s trade options for Fields, which haven’t been very good, especially with teams with a need at quarterback signing players left and right.

Ahead of NFL free agency, there seemed to be plenty of options for the Bears in terms of trade partners for Fields’ services, but now that no longer appears to be the case, and even Sam Howell of the Washington Commanders has been traded before the 25-year-old.

Howell was moved to the Seattle Seahawks, and Desmond Ridder was dealt to the Arizona Cardinals, but Fields remains in Chicago with an uncertain future.

Mike Greenberg of ESPN is shocked that no team is willing to take a chance on Fields via ESPN Radio.

“I can’t believe no one is looking at the lump of clay that is Justin Fields and saying, ‘I can mold him into a really good player,’” Greenberg said.

At this point in time, there’s no telling what the future holds for Fields, as it seems as though he’s too talented not to end up on another team with a chance to start.

However, anything can happen between now and when the Bears are officially on the clock on April 25.
