Braves probable pitchers and lineups vs. Cleveland

The Atlanta Braves and Cleveland Guardians will finish up what has been an entertaining series this afternoon. It’s no wonder why Stephen Vogt has led this Guardians team to the best record in the American League, given their extra innings victory last night.

Atlanta will look to bounce back from a tough loss, and get the offense back on track after they scored just two runs in 11 innings yesterday. However, the Braves starting rotation has been on fire, so we’ll see if Bryce Elder can continue the trend of good pitching.

Let’s check out the starting lineups and pitchers for tonight’s game.

Probable starting pitchers

Bryce Elder (1-0, 0.00 ERA) made his 2024 debut last time out against the Miami Marlins. He pitched very well working all the way into the seventh inning. The most pleasant thing to come out of Bryce’s outing was his impressive command as he pitched 6.2 innings without allowing a walk.

Ben Lively (0-1, 2.38 ERA) will take the ball for Cleveland coming off an outing against the Red Sox that saw him pitch 6.1 innings of one-run ball. Lively generally does an excellent job of tunneling an effective sinker/sweeper combo of pitches that has helped place him in the 91st percentile in strikeout percentage.
