After weeks of speculation, the Kansas City Chiefs have traded star cornerback L’Jarius Sneed.
The Chiefs are sending Sneed to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick, and the teams will swap 2024 seventh-round picks. The Titans are giving Sneed a four-year deal worth $55 million in guaranteed money. As for the Chiefs, trading Sneed will free up nearly $20 million in salary cap space.
Trent McDuffie is now the clear-cut No.1 cornerback on the Chiefs’ roster, and he proved last year that he is legit . Jaylen Watson and Joshua Williams have been nice depth players and will now be looked toward to step up. Nic Jones, Nazeeh Johnson and Ekow Boye-Doe are young guys who have shown some promise in limited action.
