Aston Villa are one of the teams now monitoring Gabriel Osho, with the Luton Town defender currently set to be out of contract in the summer transfer window.
Luton have been absolutely outstanding this season. It is remarkable that Rob Edwards’ men appear to have such a brilliant chance of keeping themselves in the Premier League for a second season.
And Gabriel Osho has definitely been one of the most impressive performers, particularly in the last few months. The 25-year-old has scored against both Arsenal and Newcastle United.
Journalist Dean Jones has told SportsLens that Osho is out of contract at Kenilworth Road at the end of the season. And while the Hatters will try and agree fresh terms with the former Reading trainee, he is likely to move on if they cannot keep themselves in the division.
And Jones has claimed that Aston Villa, Fulham and Crystal Palace are amongst the clubs who are all following Osho and could make a move at the end of the campaign.
Like Luton, Villa have been absolutely superb this season. Up until a few weeks ago, Unai Emery’s side looked to be very much in title contention in the Premier League.
They have suffered some disappointing results of late. However, they remain right in the mix for the top-four. And they will almost certainly be playing in Europe again next year.
There are some potential concerns at Aston Villa over profit and sustainability. So the fact that Osho could potentially be available on a free transfer obviously makes him particularly tempting.
Villa have had to deal with a number of serious injuries this season, with Tyrone Mings, Diego Carlos and Ezri Konsa amongst those who have been sidelined this term.
