Warriors get demolished by RJ Barrett, Raptors in 133-118 loss

The Warriors took another step closer to disaster on Sunday night, never coming close to victory in a loss to the Raptors.

The Golden State Warriors lost to the Toronto Raprots 133-118 on Sunday night, falling to 17-19 on the season. While the final score made it look like a bad loss, the actual performance from the Dubs was even more embarrassing. The Raptors scored 76 points in the first half, going into the break in action with a 76-49 lead. Before the start of the third quarter, the game was effectively over.

Raptors recent acquisition RJ Barrett had one of the best games of his NBA career. The former third-overall pick recorded 37 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists on 13-for-20 shooting from the field without committing a turnover. Five other Raptors finished in double figures, but none of Barrett’s teammates scored more than 17 points.

Dubs head coach Steve Kerr broke from his recent trend of splitting Andrew Wiggins and Jonathan Kuminga by shifting them both into the starting lineup in place of a second primary ballhandler. It… did not go well. It’s hard not to feel like it might be time for Golden State to remove Wiggins from the rotation entirely barring some semblance of greater consistency.
