SAD NEWS: Seattle Seahawks Appear To Lose Top….

Seattle Seahawks Appear To Lose Top Offensive Coordinator Candidate With Five Words In Alabama

It does not appear as though Ryan Grubb is going to leave Alabama for a return to Seattle. The 47-year-old offensive guru has been linked to the Seahawks in recent days.

However, if his firm declaration on National Signing Day is any indication, he’s not going anywhere.Grubb stepped up to the podium in front of the Red Elephant Club (the most exclusive booster society in college sports) and said five words that will surely bring peace of mind. For now, at least.

This is the first time that Grubb has made public comment on his future. A deep exhale was released among those in the room.

His role at Washington under Kalen DeBoer was crucial to the success of the Huskies in each of the last two years, as well as at Fresno State in the two years prior. Grubb was long considered one of the biggest rising stars in the sport. That is no longer the case. He has arrived!

Ryan Grubb actually turned down an offer from Nick Saban to become the offensive coordinator at Alabama last season. Now, less than a year later, he will step into that role on DeBoer’s staff.

Unless he doesn’t!

First-year Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald is looking for a new offensive coordinator. Grubb is among the names involved in the search, alongside Tanner Engstrand, Eric Bieniemy, Chip Kelly and others. Multiple reports have said that there is mutual interest between the two parties.

Things can absolutely change over the next few days. Football is fluid. Especially in the offseason.

Grubb’s introduction to the Red Elephant Club seemingly says everything that needs to be said about his future. To draw the comparison that the REC is to college football what the Illuminati is to the American government would be wild, but there is an element of truth to it…

For Grubb to declare himself as the offensive coordinator in front of that room is a big deal!
