Sad News for Sean Dyche: Sean Dyche sack update…..

Dan Friedkin to sack Sean Dyche as Everton manager once takeover completed

Dan Friedkin could look to replace Sean Dyche as Everton manager once he completes his takeover of the club, according to Il Messaggero.

Writing on their website (16 June), the Italian news outlet report that only an announcement is missing for the American’s takeover of the Toffees to be completed, with the green light expected from the Premier League.

Once that is received Friedkin “will start a restructuring of the company with new managers and aiming for new objectives”, plunging fresh doubt over Dyche’s future as the boss despite keeping the club in the top flight last season after an eight-point deduction.

Dan Friedkin to sack Sean Dyche as Everton manager?

There was a stage during the 2023/24 season at Goodison Park where people were questioning the future of Dyche, after a horror run of one win in 15 games saw the team on the cusp of a relegation fight.

But despite dealing with a whole host of nonsense issues off the pitch including an eight-point deduction for financial troubles and the whole takeover business with 777 Partners, he led the team to a 15th placed finish – and with the extra eight points the team would have finished in 11th place.

However, there is no doubt that his particular style of football isn’t the most exciting or aesthetically pleasing and new owners often want to put their own stamp on a club.

Dyche would be someone who will be seen as dispensable if they want to implement a new style of play into the club, however he would be incredibly hard to replace for on-pitch results.

The fans and Dyche have built a connection and it would be a huge decision for Friedkin to make considering the relationship between Moshiri and the fans previously, but this is certainly one to watch.
