Stoke City announce major recruitment exit ahead of summer transfer window

The latest Stoke City transfer news as the Potters have confirmed the departure of their Head of Recruitment

Stoke City are parting ways with Head of Recruitment Jared Dublin after less than a year in the job.

The former scout was appointed by Ricky Martin in June last year but after a change in technical director, with Martin being replaced by Potters legend Jon Walters, he too is now moving on.

Dublin had joined from Reading, having previously spent six years at Sheffield United whom he helped to promotions between 2017 and 2023.

However, with the Martin/Alex Neil regime now departed, Dublin’s imminent exit marks another severing of the ties with the former power-brokers in the football department.

At the time of his appointment Dublin was lauded for his ability to tap into different markets and find lesser-known players.

The likes of Andre Vidigal, Ryan Mmaee, Mehdi Leris and Nikola Jojic arrived under Martin and Dublin, as did unqualified successes like Wouter Burger. But overall Stoke had a disappointing season which led to Neil being replaced in December.

Martin followed in February, with Walters stepping in as interim before landing the job permanently a couple of months later.
