Sean Dyche told Jarrad Branthwaite and Everton duo ‘will go’ in £80m summer transfer exodus

Everton will sell Jarrad Branthwaite, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jordan Pickford during the summer transfer window, according to Sam Matterface.

The Toffees are understood to need to sell one of their more valuable assets this month to attempt to balance the books at Goodison Park and avoid being bit by a potential third-point deduction next season.

Although Sean Dyche’s side values Branthwaite alone at around £80million [The Independent, 30 May], talkSPORT host Matterface believes the Toffees would be lucky to fetch that sort of fee for all three players combined.

Speaking on talkSPORT on Sunday (2 June, 13:42) he said: “They’re not going to sell that many players surely? Branthwaite will go, Calvert-Lewin will go and Pickford probably will go.

“So they’ll get £70million for all three, maybe £80million.”

Will Everton sell Jarrad Branthwaite during the summer transfer window at Goodison Park?

Everton’s current financial position is quite possibly one of the worst-kept secrets in the footballing world as everyone knows that the Toffees need to sell players to keep their head above the water in this summer’s window.

However, it still feels unlikely that the Blues will be willing to let some of their most prized assets depart the club for next to nothing in the coming weeks and months, especially when they value them as highly as Branthwaite.

Potentially, Calvert-Lewin could be allowed to leave if the right fee is paid, especially as he is in the last year of his contract. But reports suggest that the Toffees already have put wheels in motion to tie him down to a new deal [TEAMTalk, 29 May].

Pickford could certainly be a target for several clubs. He has played a crucial part in keeping Everton in the Premier League over the last few years so it seems unlikely that Dyche and those above him would accept a cut-price offer for him.

Things may be looking slightly bleak at this moment in time, but it still feels unlikely that the Toffees will be bullied in the transfer market.
