Everton confident of striking Jack Harrison deal with Leeds United

Everton are looking to make their loan deal for Jack Harrison permanent and are “confident” in doing so after Leeds United lost in the play-off final on Sunday (26 May), according to the Daily Mail.

Lewis Steele reported [27 May] that Sean Dyche is “exploring” a deal to sign Harrison this summer after featuring regularly when fit in the 2023-24 season.

This deal has been made easier as Leeds missed out on promotion to the Premier League at Wembley against Southampton. The Toffees are said to already be exploring getting a deal over the line.

Leeds’ 1-0 defeat now means they will look to sell players this summer, which has given the Toffees confidence in signing Harrison.

Should Everton sign Jack Harrison permanently?

Harrison was a useful asset to Dyche’s squad as Everton secured yet another season of Premier League football with time to spare.

The winger has got plenty of experience now in the top division which certainly makes him a positive addition to the side.

The 27-year-old will likely come for quite a large fee given the financial situation at Goodison Park, but he could be worth bringing in.

In the Premier League last season, he scored three and assisted three but only featured from the start across 25 games [FotMob].

If he can maintain fitness over the course of the whole campaign, he could prove to be one of Everton’s more important players next season.

The positivity behind this move depends on the fee that the Toffees pay to Leeds given the financial struggles they are likely to endure this summer.
