Aston Villa, Tottenham ready to pay €40 million to sign Andrea Cambiaso

Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly willing to cough up €40 million to sign Andrea Cambiaso, a target for Arsenal and Manchester United.

According to a report by Corriere di Torino, as relayed by Tutto Juve, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Andrea Cambiaso from Juventus in the summer transfer window. Aston Villa and Tottenham are ready to fork out €40 million to secure the services of the Juventus full-back.

The rise of Andrea Cambiaso this season

Andrea Cambiaso has enjoyed a solid 2023/24 campaign with Juventus. A native of Genova, the 24-year-old graduated from the Genoa CFC youth division before breaking into the club’s first-team squad. However, Il Grifone sent him out on multiple loan spells before Juventus came calling nearly two years ago.

Another loan spell, this time at Bologna FC, followed before Cambiaso returned to Juventus. And he has been a regular for the Bianconeri thus far this season, turning out 39 times across all competitions while chipping in with three goals and six assists. Meanwhile, Cambiaso’s progress has alerted several high-profile clubs, including Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester United, and Tottenham.

A man in demand

Arsenal and Manchester United recently joined the race to secure Andrea Cambiaso’s services. The two Premier League heavyweights will delve into the market for a left-back in the summer transfer window, although the Italian full-back can also be an option for the right-back berth.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa’s interest in Andrea Cambiaso is understandable. Unai Emery wants an upgrade on Alex Moreno and Lucas Digne ahead of the upcoming UEFA Champions League campaign next season. The Juventus full-back has thus emerged as a viable target for Aston Villa.

The Villans and Tottenham are ready to cough up €40 million to secure Cambiaso’s services in the summer transfer window. The latter will also aim to sign a new left-back amid uncertainties surrounding the future of Ben Davies. In addition, Emerson Royal faces an uncertain future at the Tottenham Hotpspur Stadium, with the Juventus full-back emerging as a target.

With Aston Villa and Tottenham ready to pay €40 million to sign Cambiaso, a summer move to the Premier League might be on the cards. It will be interesting to see if Arsenal and Manchester United present their offers to sign the 24-year-old Italian full-back.
