Everton legend Peter Reid sends message to Premier League amid ongoing Goodison uproar

Everton legend Peter Reid has sent a new message to the Premier League on behalf of the Toffees fanbase amid the latest uproar at Goodison Park.

Blues supporters have been vocal in their frustration as they continue to wait to discover the result of the Toffees’ appeal against their initial 10-point deduction for their breach of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules

Despite Everton’s appeal hearing finishing early in February, the independent commission are still yet to announce their verdict and Reid has called upon the Premier League to speed up their process on behalf of all Evertonians.

Writing on his personal X account on Thursday (22 February) he said: “Premier League. Any chance? Asking for one or two Evertonians.”

When will Everton learn the outcome of their appeal?

Reid is joined by more than one or two Everton supporters in his frustration over the length of this process as it seems ridiculous that the independent commission and Premier League can’t explain their outcome almost a month after the appeal hearing.

The Toffees weren’t allowed to present any new evidence in this hearing so this decision shouldn’t be rocket science, but for whatever reason Sean Dyche’s side has been left in the dark over what sort of action could be heading their way in the coming days or weeks.

Just a couple of points could massively help Everton’s bid for Premier League survival this term, some pundits have suggested that they are destined for the drop this term, but a boost of three or four points could change that completely.

Hopefully, supporters won’t have to wait too much longer before the Premier League sheds some light on their decision and Dyche can begin to organise his plan to help the Toffees avoid slipping into the Championship.

Until then, supporters at Goodison Park will just have to hope that no news is good news.
