Everton are eager to sign on-loan winger Jack Harrison as they hope to keep hold of him beyond the end of this campaign.
In a recent episode of The Square Ball, journalist Phil Hay claimed that Everton are eager to sign on-loan winger Jack Harrison permanently in the summer. Hay said,
“Everton would be keen to keep Jack Harrison but obviously not if they go down. But I think you will find other mid-table Premier League clubs who would probably take Harrison as well, so my gut feeling is that he will go and they will pull in money from that one.”
Harrison’s Decent Run Of Form In Premier League Football This Season
Harrison is enjoying a decent loan spell at the Merseyside club as he has managed to catch the eye at times with his performances on the right side of Sean Dyche’s attack. The 27-year-old has banged in four goals and grabbed three assists in 25 matches for the Toffees this season across all competitions.
The English talent has been a good performer out in the wide areas based on his average of 1.2 shots, 1.1 key passes and 1.0 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. However, he needs to find a way to improve his ball distribution after making just 69.9% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via whoscored).
Everton Are Eager To SIgn Harrison Permanently Next Summer: Good Move For Everyone Involved?
Harrison is a decent dribbler with the ball and can create a few inviting chances for his teammates in and around the opponent’s penalty box. He can even shoot the ball with power from long range and can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the flanks.
However, the English wide player has to find a way to improve his link-up play in the attacking end of the field. Harrison has mainly functioned as a right-winger but can also operate as a left-sided wide player if told to do so.
The English wing wizard is one of the first names in Everton boss Sean Dyche’s teamsheet at the moment. Thus, it is only logical for the Toffees to try and make his loan deal permanent this summer.
