DJ Moore goes full Wolverine with scary fast injury recovery time
Moore likely to be in the lineup since last week’s ankle injury is no longer being reported The Chicago Bears have won 4 of their last 6 games and they have been much more competitive in the second half than they were in the first half of the year. Much of that improvement has been the result of the play of wide receiver D.J. Moore, who has been quarterback Justin Fields’ best and favorite target.Moore suffered an ankle injury in Chicago’s Week 16 victory over the Arizona Cardinals, and it was thought he would struggle to get back into the lineup when the Bears host the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17. Apparently, Moore has remarkable ability to heal, because he is not even listed on Chicago’s Thursday injury report.
Moore likened his powers of recovery to a popular Marvel superhero. “Surprised I wasn’t on the thing (injury report),” Moore said. “I guess y’all were surprised I wasn’t on the thing? I’m like Wolverine, for real.”
Moore clearly wants to be in the lineup for the Bears, and they clearly need him to be at his best. He is the one receiver that head coach Matt Eberflus and Justin Fields can count on under all circumstances. Moore has caught 83 passes for 1,141 yards with a team-leading 7 touchdowns.
