Another drive-thru coffee shop opens in Jacksonville. Say ‘hello’ to Dutch Bros
Dutch Bros opens its drive-thru lanes and walk-up window Friday at 5733 Roosevelt Blvd. near Naval Air Station Jacksonville. It is the second of several drive-thru-only coffee shops planned in Northeast Florida.
Next will be a Westside location at 7720 Argyle Forest Blvd. Dutch Bros is targeting a Jan. 10 opening, Lauren Arant, owner and operator of both locations told the Times-Union.
“I want people to know that yes, we have a lot of crazy drinks. However, I want everyone to come back for our people. We are a drive-thru coffee shop but I promise that when people come through they will see that we’re different,” said Arant, a Portland, Ore., native who’s been with Dutch Bros for nine years after starting right after graduating high school.
The Roosevelt Boulevard opening comes about three months after Dutch Bros launched its first Northeast Florida store at 50 McCoy Way in St. Augustine.
Plans filed with JEA show three more: 10915 Baymeadows Road and 11647 San Jose Blvd. in Jacksonville and 4560 Race Track Road in Saint Johns are in the works.
