Désirée expressed her profound grief on social media, referring to André as her “little teddy bear” and lamenting his untimely departure. She wrote, “Let my little teddy bear fly around the world again… André didn’t do anything to anyone… He was only with us on earth for 9 years… why you… why. I don’t understand…”
The young boy was a cherished member of the local children’s fire brigade in Warle. The Schöppenstedt fire department honored his memory, stating, “Our thoughts are with André’s relatives, who we also want to support during this difficult time.”
The perpetrator, identified as 50-year-old Saudi national Taleb al-Abdulmohsen, was apprehended at the scene. Al-Abdulmohsen, known for his anti-Islamic sentiments and far-right affiliations, faces multiple charges, including five counts of murder and 205 counts of attempted murder.
