Brandon Cisse Commits To South Carolina | South Carolina Football Transfer Portal News

As of January 14, 2025, there is no publicly available information confirming that Brandon Cisse has committed to the University of South Carolina. Cisse, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback from Sumter, South Carolina, was a three-star prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. He initially committed to Syracuse University in June 2023 but later decommitted in December 2023. Since then, there have been no official announcements regarding his commitment to any collegiate program.

In the meantime, the South Carolina Gamecocks have been active in the transfer portal, enhancing their roster for the upcoming season. Notable additions include:

  • Myles Norwood: A 6-foot-1, 183-pound cornerback transferring from Ball State. Norwood recorded 38 tackles, two fumble recoveries, and five pass breakups in the 2024 season. His experience is expected to bolster South Carolina’s secondary.
  • Rahsul Faison: A running back from Utah State who rushed for 1,109 yards and eight touchdowns in the 2024 season. Faison’s addition aims to strengthen the Gamecocks’ ground game following the departure of their previous leading rusher.
  • Jordan Dingle: A tight end transferring from Kentucky, where he amassed 43 receptions for 615 yards and four touchdowns. Dingle is expected to be a valuable asset in South Carolina’s passing attack.Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy: A defensive tackle from Texas A&M, bringing depth and talent to the Gamecocks’ defensive line.

These strategic acquisitions reflect South Carolina’s commitment to strengthening key positions and building upon their recent successes. The Gamecocks concluded the 2024 season with a 9-3 record, including a six-game winning streak that positioned them near the College Football Playoff. Although they narrowly missed the playoff and faced a bowl game loss to Illinois, the team’s upward trajectory has made it an attractive destination for talented transfers.

As the offseason progresses, South Carolina’s coaching staff continues to seek opportunities to enhance the roster through recruiting and the transfer portal, aiming to compete at the highest level in the upcoming season.
