Blackpool, 15 September 2024 — This Halloween, Blackpool is set to become a hotspot for the fantastical and the eerie× as the resort announces a unique and spine-chilling event. For the first time, monstrous figures will be seen perched atop rooftops across the town, transforming the iconic skyline into a dramatic Halloween display. The event, aptly named “Monsters on the Roof,” will feature an array of meticulously designed monster sculptures, ranging from classic ghouls and goblins to more contemporary horror figures. Local artists and sculptors have collaborated on this project, creating larger-than-life installations that promise to captivate both locals and tourists. The event is expected to draw large crowds, with organisers advising visitors to plan their trips early and consider using public transport due to anticipated high foot traffic. Special guided tours will be available for those wanting a closer look at the eerie creations.Blackpool’s tourism board hopes the initiative will not only enhance the town’s reputation as a premier Halloween destination but also support local businesses during the traditionally quieter autumn period. The monster installations will be unveiled on 30 September and will remain on display throughout October, culminating in a grand Halloween celebration on 31 October.
