Rock legends AC/DC have once again jolted the music world by officially announcing the release of their highly anticipated new studio album, slated to drop in 2025. This marks the band’s first full-length release since 2020’s Power Up, which soared to the top of global charts and reaffirmed AC/DC’s legacy as one of the most iconic and enduring acts in rock history.
In a surprise statement posted to their official social media channels on Friday, the band confirmed that they are back in the studio and in the final stages of production. The yet-to-be-titled album is expected to be released in the summer of 2025, and according to insiders, it promises to deliver the classic hard-rocking sound fans have come to love—complete with explosive guitar riffs, thunderous drums, and Brian Johnson’s unmistakable vocals.
“After everything we’ve been through these past few years, we felt it was time to crank up the amps and get back to what we love doing best—making music for our fans,” said Johnson in a video message. “This new album is pure AC/DC—raw, loud, and full of energy. We can’t wait for the world to hear it.”
Guitarist Angus Young also teased that the album will include several unreleased tracks originally written during sessions for past albums, reworked with fresh energy. “We dug into the vault and found gold,” he said. “Some of the riffs go way back, but they’ve never sounded better.”
Fans and industry critics are already buzzing with excitement, and the announcement has sparked speculation about a possible world tour to accompany the album’s release. Though no official tour dates have been confirmed, sources suggest that the band is planning a massive live comeback in 2025.
With more than 200 million records sold worldwide and a legacy spanning over four decades, AC/DC’s upcoming release is shaping up to be one of the most significant rock events of the year. Stay tuned as the band prepares to bring the thunder once again.
