Bob Dylan Gives His Verdict On Nick Cave’s Live Show
Bob Dylan caught Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds live in Paris recently – and gave his verdict online.
The songwriter is a late adopter to social media, but the occasional tweet from Bob Dylan is enough to send the internet into raptures. Sharing ad hoc birthday missives and restaurant recommendations, the Bard has now given a shout out to a younger artist.
As it transpires, Bob Dylan used down-time in his own touring schedule to catch Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in Paris. The group released new album ‘Wild God’ earlier this year, and are on righteous form, with CLASH reviewing their Glasgow date.

A wonderful moment of crossover between two incredible artists. Of course, Nick Cave is a long-time Bob Dylan fan, regularly citing his work as an inspiration. Take this 1995 interview, archived by Far Out. Musing on his enduring passion for Dylan album ‘Nashville Skyline’, he commented: “I constantly buy the same record over and over again: I’ve bought so many versions of ‘Nashville Skyline’ – I must be keeping Dylan in… whatever that is he needs keeping in.”
