Nottingham Forest now have three offers on the table in their attempt to sign a new goalkeeper before tonight’s transfer deadline.
Well, it would seem as though things are being cranked up a little bit by Forest in their attempt to sign a new custodian.
According to Darren Witcoop, the Reds now have three goalkeepers in their sights and have placed offers on the table.
The Belgian international looks like one option for the Reds, although it’s believed that the French outfit want a replacement first.
It’s fair to say that both options that have been rumoured would only represent short-term fixes and help Forest until the summer.
Only Forest could decide with just a few days remaining that they’d like to strengthen a crucial area of the pitch.
It’s going to be a thankless task trying to sign a goalkeeper today – given that everyone is completely aware of the problems which Forest have.
With Matt Turner coming under fire once again after defeat to Arsenal, Nuno Espirito Santo has now decided to act.
Both Turner and Odysseas Vlachodimos have flattered to deceive and the hope will be that a stopper can be added.
Signing a goalkeeper on transfer deadline day won’t be easy, however, and Forest must avoid looking somewhat desperate.
