Manager says his £31m player will leave after Tottenham Hotspur links

Antonio Nusa will leave Club Brugge amid speculation that Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur want to sign him.

That is according to Club Brugge manager Ronny Deila, who has noted just how good Nusa is.

So, what has been said about Antonio Nusa? Let’s take a look.

Tottenham Hotspur target Antonio Nusa will leave

Well, according to The London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Antonio Nusa from Club Brugge in the January transfer window.

The report has claimed that Tottenham are in talks with Brugge and are willing to pay £26 million in transfer fees for Nusa.

The Belgian club want £31 million for the forward and also want to keep him until the end of the season.

The London Evening Standard has reported that Chelsea are keen on the 18-year-old Norway international forward, who is rated highly by Arsenal playmaker Martin Odegaard.

Brugge manager Ronny Deila has said that Nusa will leave the Belgian club, but the former Celtic manager wants to keep him in his team for the rest of the season.

The London Evening Standard quotes Deila as saying about Nusa: “If it doesn’t happen now, it will be this summer. The most important thing is that he stays focused and wants to get better. I think he is handling [the speculation] well, because he is still young.

“Now, a decision has to be made and he has to do the best he can for us. I hope and think we will keep him until June. And then, he will be even more ready to leave.”

Antonio Nusa is one for the future

In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur have to be patient with Antonio Nusa and should not rush his development.

If Spurs do manage to sign the Norwegian forward in the final days of the January transfer window, then they should let him continue to develop at Club Brugge for the second half of the season.

Nusa is doing well in Belgium at the moment, and his manager wants to keep him.

The teenager has made six starts and nine substitute appearances in the Jupiler Pro League so far this season. He has scored three goals and given two assists in those games.
