Isak linked with Premier League rivals as club ‘reignite interest’

Arsenal have reignited their interest in Alexander Isak, according to reports on Tuesday afternoon.

In an exclusive for FootballTransfers, Steve Kay claims that the Gunners attempted to sign the Swede in the summer of 2022 and remain ‘huge admirers.’

18 months later, it’s said that Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu have been keeping a closer eye on the 24-year-old, who has 13 goals in 22 appearances this season following his second half brace at Sunderland on Saturday.

It’s believed Isak and former Mag Ivan Toney feature high on their list of striker targets, with a new centre forward expected to arrive – most likely in the summer – after their struggles in front of goal so far this season.

While Dan Ashworth previously stated, “at some stage, you need to trade” regarding our ongoing battle with FFP, we’ll be hugely reluctant to cash in on our star striker, top scorer and club-record signing, with Isak one of the most talented young forward in Europe.
