Ty Bracey would back the decision to allow Jhon Duran to leave Aston Villa if Unai Emery sanctions a move for the forward in the January transfer window.
The Daily Mail reported on its website on Saturday (6 January) that Villa are open to offers for the Colombian international if they can find a suitable replacement, with Italian giants AC Milan interested in signing him.
It added that the 20-year-old and the Villans boss haven’t always seen “eye to eye” during their time together at Villa Park as the forward has been frustrated by his lack of opportunities this season.
Bracey doesn’t believe Emery is happy with Duran’s discipline as he brings a bit too much “chaos” as the club look to challenge for a Champions League place this year.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “It would definitely leave us short, but Bailey and Diaby can happily play in the second striker role. I think if he goes, another one comes in.
“He is a good player, he can score goals. But he’s very young and I don’t think Emery is happy with the disciplinary side.
“I think he’s a bit of a hothead and I don’t think Emery likes that, he brings a bit of chaos. One thing we don’t need is chaos.
“When he’s coming in off the bench, it’s either because we’re chasing a goal. Obviously, you make subs when you have tired legs as well, reinforcing the attack with fresh legs when we’re pushing for a goal.
“I think he brings a little bit too much chaos and I don’t think Emery will like that.
“I don’t know what goes on behind closed doors, but if Emery’s not happy with him and it’s time to go, then it’s time to go. I will support him in his decision in whatever he chooses to do.”
In other Aston Villa news, a broadcaster wants Emery to sign up the friend of a Villa star for £10.7million this month.
