DeMar DeRozan ranks among the top

As he leads the Bulls throughout this season, Deebo eyes his seventh All-Star nod.

On Thursday, the league officially published the initial fan-voting results, and Chicago Bulls star swingman DeMar DeRozan was one of the most-voted players in the Eastern Conference.

With a total of 175, 233 online votes, Deebo was placed as the ninth player in the East’s backcourt who received the most nominations from fans.

Deebo’s 2024 All-Star case

After carrying the Bulls all season, there should be no doubt that DeMar deserves another All-Star selection.

Deebo led the Bulls with his efficient scoring and playmaking, averaging 22.4 points and 5.3 assists per game. As Chicago missed Zach Lavine’s productivity due to a foot ailment, DeMar was there to pick up the burden for the team despite the uncertainty of their future deal.

He led the Bulls to a 9-5 streak in December to help them overcome a sluggish start to the season.

How can DeMar sustain the fans’ All-Star favor?

The Bulls have lost both of their meetings since the start of the new year. It is clear that the team needs to catch up on the presence of important contributors such as LaVine, Nikola Vucevic (groin), and Torrey Craig (foot).

As a result, DeMar can only maintain his grind and drive in leading the Bulls to their intended destination. They are now 15-21 and out of contention for the Play-In.

If DeRozan continues to put up big numbers while leading the Bulls to an excellent stretch until Jan. 20 — the final day for fan voting — there’s no doubt he’ll reclaim his spot as an NBA All-Star for the seventh time in his career.
