Marshawn Lynch Gave Mike Tomlin’s Son A Jersey 10 Years Ago And He Still Keeps It

NFL Films framed a cherishable moment on New Year’s Eve between Steelers coach Mike Tomlin and former Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch in Seattle.

In week 17 The Pittsburgh Steelers were in the Pacific Northwest and secured an important win against the Seattle Seahawks.

Before Sunday’s game at Lumen Field, Seahawks Super Bowl champ, Marshawn Lynch, was seen to make an appearance on the sidelines. In an exchange ahead of the kickoff, Steelers’ coach Tomlin told Lynch the jersey the RB had gifted to his son 10 years ago is hung in his room today.

Coach Tomlin was seen welcoming the former Seahawks Super Bowl champ at Lumen Field. The coach said,

“Man, you sent my son a jersey about 10 years ago. That jersey’s been in my son’s room, hanging up, for like 10–11 years. His ass is in college and that jersey’s still up. Much respect to you, man.”

The former RB seems to be a much-engaged weekend in Seattle, also appeared at the NHL’s Winter Classic, and took part in introducing the Seattle Kraken on Monday.

Lynch, the former RB has earned the nickname “Beast Mode” as one of the toughest runners of his era, was spotted wearing the stylish Kraken Winter Classic sweater.

The Super Bowl XLVIII champion also interacted with his old coach Pete Carroll, as well as some current Seahawks players.

The 37-year-old was a fan favorite throughout his career in the NFL, he played 13 seasons in the pros, featuring in 149 games and scoring 85 rushing touchdowns. A five-time Pro Bowler, one-time All-Pro, and won a Super Bowl with Seattle in 2017.
