Rangers are exploring deals to sign a striker and a left-back as they accelerate plans to bolster their squad in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed that a striker is Philippe Clement’s top priority while the left-back position is an area in which the club are interested in improving.
Sources have told Football Insider that Rangers are eyeing up small fees and loan deals following their heavy spending in the summer.
The Gers will be operating on a different budget to rivals Celtic who will have a bigger transfer kitty to utilise in the winter window.
The Ibrox club are not expected to have a largely active window but the manager is keen on boosting to his squad to continue his excellent start to life at Ibrox since joining in October.
Rangers reportedly spent £14.7million this summer on Michael Beale’s signings including Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers and Danilo – many of whom have underperformed since arriving.
