BREAKING NEWS: Warriors’ Stephen Curry issues strong statement on Jonathan Kuminga

Stephen Curry issued a strong statement on Jonathan Kuminga after the Golden State Warriors lost to the Denver Nuggets on Christmas.Curry said Kuminga gives the Warriors a huge boost on both sides of the ball.

Following the Warriors-Nuggets game, Curry stated of Kuminga, “He gives us a huge boost.” “We discuss it frequently. He presses against the rim. eliminates open shots. On defense, he knows how to guard both on and off the ball and where he should be. He just performs at an entertainingly different tempo. He bestows upon us much. We’re beginning to work out the kinks in terms of where to pass the ball to him, how to attack, and when to exploit his agility to play one-on-one. but also has read-and-react skills and can play that Warriors basketball. He provides us a lot because he’s become really good at it as well.

Kuminga finished with 13 points, five rebounds and two assists against the Nuggets in 23 minutes while shooting 4-of-8 from the field and 5-of-8 from the free-throw line. The swingman has started the last seven games for the Warriors.

Kuminga declared, “Yeah, I am a difference-maker,” following the Warriors’ defeat by the Nuggets. “I am certain that I am. However, I’m not responsible for doing everything. How do I put it? I have no authority over my minutes. I believe I’ve accomplished that. However, that last voice isn’t me. Even if I know how to score the basketball, it’s still difficult. I am aware of how to pass. I am proficient in a variety of floor techniques. It all comes down to assembling it, though. Putting everything together is just difficult with the individuals we have on the floor. I’m attempting to determine how to handle that.

The Warriors are 15-15 on the season. They are in 10th place in the Western Conference standings. Kuminga is averaging 12.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists, while Curry is putting up 27.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.

The Warriors are 5-1 over their last six games. They will look to get back in the win column on Thursday against the Miami Heat.
