Buenos Aires, May 13, 2025 โ€” In a stunning and emotional announcement that has taken fans by surprise, the estate of legendary Argentine footballer Diego Maradona has revealed the upcoming release of a posthumous music album featuring the late icon. Titled “La Mano de Dios: The Lost Tracks,” the album is set for global release in November 2025, marking the fifth anniversary of Maradonaโ€™s passing.

The album, produced in collaboration with top Latin American and international music producers, is said to feature unreleased recordings, spoken word segments, and collaborations with some of the biggest names in music. Among those reportedly featured on the album are Shakira, Carlos Vives, and Residente, along with archival audio of Maradona singing, speaking, and narrating key moments from his life.

Maradona, who passed away in November 2020, was widely known not only for his unmatched talent on the pitch but also for his deep connection to Argentine culture, particularly music. Though his musical endeavors were less publicized, close friends and family have long spoken of his passion for singing, especially traditional cumbia and tango.

The album is being released under the Maradona Foundation, with proceeds going toward youth sports and music education programs in underprivileged communities in Latin America. In a statement, Maradona’s daughter Dalma said, โ€œThis album is a gift from my father to the people who loved him. Music was part of his soul. Through this, he lives on.โ€

Fans can expect a mixture of emotional tributes, high-energy tracks, and introspective moments that give a rare glimpse into Maradonaโ€™s personal life and inner thoughts. A documentary chronicling the making of the album is also in production and will premiere on Netflix in early 2026.

With this release, Diego Maradonaโ€™s legendary presence continues to transcend football, leaving an enduring impact on culture, music, and memory.
