Draymond Green Says He Doesn’t Feel Bad About Choking Rudy Gobert

Following an argument with Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert in which he placed the Frenchman in a headlock during the first quarter of a game on Tuesday, Nov. 14, Warriors forward Draymond Green has officially fulfilled his five-game ban.For the first time since his suspension was made public on Sunday, Green spoke with media and stated that he had no regrets about the incident.

“I don’t live my life with regrets,” Green remarked on Sunday following practice, as reported by ESPN. “Whenever I’m in a position to defend a teammate, I will do so.” “First and foremost, what matters to me is how the people I care about feel,” he went on. What impact is it having on the individuals I care about?

Green was defending Klay Thompson at the time of the altercation. Several players, including Gobert, hurried to the scene after a tough play early in the first quarter resulted in an altercation between Thompson and Minnesota’s Jaden McDaniels.

Green then tried to tackle the Timberwolves center in a chokehold and pull him away from the disturbance after he saw Gobert grabbing onto Thompson.

According to Green, “people can interpret things however they want to.”

“I am confident that I will always support my teammates. I am that person. That’s who I am as a friend and as a teammate,” he continued.

Green can make a comeback on Tuesday when Golden State plays the Kings. He missed five games, during which the Warriors went 2-4.
