In a powerful nod to four decades of rock ‘n’ roll legacy, Bon Jovi has reignited fan excitement by celebrating the 40th anniversary of their groundbreaking “Slippery When Wet” tour. The iconic tour, originally launched in 1986 following the release of the band’s multi-platinum third album, cemented Bon Jovi’s status as global rock legends. Now, in 2025, the band marks this milestone with a heartfelt tribute and an electrifying new album announcement titled “Forever: 40 Years of Bon Jovi.”

Frontman Jon Bon Jovi made the announcement during a surprise appearance at a private fan event in New Jersey, where he shared emotional stories of the band’s rise from local gigs to sold-out arenas worldwide. “This tour changed everything for us,” Jon said. “Slippery When Wet was the rocket fuel that launched Bon Jovi into the stratosphere. Celebrating it 40 years later with new music feels like coming full circle.”

The upcoming album will feature a mix of original songs inspired by their four-decade journey, along with live recordings and reimagined classics from the Slippery When Wet era, including hits like “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “Livin’ on a Prayer,” and “Wanted Dead or Alive.”

To mark the anniversary, the band has also announced a special limited-edition vinyl box set and a mini-documentary chronicling the highs and lows of their meteoric rise during the mid-80s.

Fans can expect more from Bon Jovi in 2025, including a global anniversary tour that’s currently in the works, promising a setlist packed with hits, nostalgia, and new surprises.

With a legacy spanning generations, Bon Jovi shows no signs of slowing down. As Jon put it, “This is not a farewell—this is a celebration. Forty years strong, and we’re just getting started.”
