During the Dolphins’ regular-season finale, Hill appeared to take himself out of the game.

Postgame, he stated, “I’m opening the door. I’m out, bro.”

His words, coupled with a change to his X avatar, a nod to the infamous Antonio Brown sideline incident, suggested dissatisfaction with the team.

Despite the controversy, Hill has not clarified or walked back his remarks.

General Manager Chris Grier and head coach Mike McDaniel addressed the situation on Tuesday, describing their discussions with Hill as “productive” but choosing to keep specifics private.

Grier attributed Hill’s frustration to a challenging season that saw the Dolphins claw back from a 2-6 start only to fall short of the playoffs.

He also acknowledged the toll injuries took on Hill throughout the year.

“I would say Mike and I both had conversations with Tyreek,” Grier said.

“He was emotional after a tough season. But we had good discussions, and we’ll keep those between us.”

McDaniel echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing accountability during his one-on-one meeting with Hill.

“I think I was very direct with him,”McDaniel said.

“Leaving a game won’t be tolerated, and he embraced that accountability. There’s nothing broken in our relationship, but we had to clear the air in a tough situation.”
