BREAKING: Ohio State Lands FIVE-STAR Quarterback Bra….

Brady Edmunds, a five-star quarterback from the 2027 class, committed to Ohio State on Monday.

Ohio State has secured a significant commitment for its 2027 recruiting class with five-star quarterback Brady Edmunds from Huntington Beach High School in California. Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 200 pounds, Edmunds is ranked as the No. 10 overall prospect and the No. 2 quarterback in his class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Edmunds’ decision to join the Buckeyes was influenced by family ties to Ohio State. His grandfather, originally from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, attended Ohio State, fostering a family tradition of Buckeye fandom. This deep-rooted connection made the offer from Ohio State particularly meaningful for Edmunds and his family.

The commitment comes after Edmunds’ visit to Ohio Stadium for the Michigan game, where he had the opportunity to engage with head coach Ryan Day and offensive coordinator Chip Kelly. These interactions, along with observing the team’s dynamic offense, solidified his decision. Edmunds noted that Ohio State’s balanced attack and family-oriented environment were pivotal factors in his commitment.

In his sophomore season, Edmunds showcased impressive skills, completing 217 of 348 passes for 3,222 yards, 36 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. He also demonstrated mobility by rushing for 312 yards and nine touchdowns. His freshman year was equally notable, with 2,691 passing yards and 24 touchdowns. Edmunds describes himself as a versatile player, capable of making plays both in the pocket and on the run, adding a dynamic element to Ohio State’s future offense.

Edmunds is the second five-star recruit to commit to Ohio State’s 2027 class, joining wide receiver Jamier Brown. This early commitment from a top-tier quarterback provides a strong foundation for the Buckeyes’ future recruiting efforts, allowing the coaching staff to strategically approach the 2026 class and beyond.

With his combination of size, arm talent, and athleticism, Edmunds has the potential to make a significant impact in college football. His commitment not only strengthens Ohio State’s future roster but also underscores the program’s national appeal and ability to attract elite talent from across the country.
