Seth Meyers Mocks Trump-Musk Friendship: ‘Is Obviously Gonna …’

Late-night comedian Seth Meyers took aim at the budding camaraderie between former President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk during his latest segment on Late Night with Seth Meyers. The host, known for his sharp political satire, couldn’t resist poking fun at the unlikely friendship that has been making headlines.

“Trump and Musk hanging out is obviously gonna be weird,” Meyers quipped during his monologue. “One of them is obsessed with rockets and space exploration, and the other thinks windmills cause cancer. It’s like a sci-fi buddy movie no one asked for.”

The mockery comes after reports surfaced of Musk attending a private dinner hosted by Trump at Mar-a-Lago, sparking speculation about a growing alliance between the two controversial figures. Meyers didn’t hold back, joking about the pair’s contrasting personalities. “Imagine Trump trying to explain Truth Social to Musk while Musk’s figuring out how to get Wi-Fi on Mars,” he said, adding, “It’s like two villains trying to out-monologue each other.”

Meyers also touched on the possibility of Musk supporting Trump in the 2024 presidential race. “If Musk backs Trump, it’s not because he believes in him—it’s because he’s tired of paying Twitter’s bills,” he joked, referencing Musk’s tumultuous management of the social media platform.

The comedian wrapped up his segment by likening the friendship to “a collision of egos in the strangest timeline,” leaving his audience in stitches. While Trump and Musk’s connection remains ambiguous, Meyers made it clear that their dynamic is ripe for comedic fodder.
