Doctor: Injury News On Leeds United Midfielder Jamie Shackleton

Leeds United midfielder Jamie Shackleton may be out for months in the worst-case scenario given his recent injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that it’s the most extreme scenario and it’s more likely that he’s got a moderate issue so it should not be that long.

Daniel Farke has stated that he’s got a gluteal injury and did not get into the details about when he can be expected back in the team.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Shackleton:

“The best case scenario would be a mild muscular injury whereas the worst case is a severe muscular injury that would cost him months.

I’d be leaning towards the moderate injury side with how long he has been out.

“He’ll still have rustiness and could need bounce games in order to return to full match sharpness and play games week in and week out.”

The 24-year-old may be a midfielder by trade, but has spent most of the season playing as a right-back for Leeds.

The injury to Djed Spence and Luke Ayling’s form has seen Farke turning to the Englishman to fill in at full-back.

Archie Gray has also been deployed there so Leeds appear to be well stacked in that department and with Spence back in action now, Shackleton will have to fight his way back into the team.

In other Leeds United news, an international player linked with a move to Elland Road is unhappy at his current club and could be on his way out in the January transfer window.
