Mavericks Star Reveals Potential Hand Injury

The Dallas Mavericks recently faced off against a struggling Los Angeles Clippers team.

Despite heading into the game with a 10-5 record, the Mavericks were utterly destroyed by the Clippers.

The final score was 107-88 in favor of Paul George and the Clippers.

As for the Mavericks, it was yet another terrific performance by the dynamic duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Speaking of Doncic, he gave an injury scare to the fanbase by briefly heading to the locker room after suffering a hand injury.

However, Doncic returned to the game and shared an update about his injury in the postgame conference via ClutchPoints on Twitter.

Doncic revealed that he had X-rays on his injured thumb during halftime.

As of now, there is no concrete result about Doncic suffering a potentially lethal injury to his thumb, but he will get a better evaluation when the team travels back to Dallas tomorrow

Despite playing with a supposed injured thumb, Doncic put up 30 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists in 38 minutes of playing time against the Clippers.

Unfortunately, Doncic’s heroics weren’t enough to prevent the Mavericks from falling to a 10-6 record in the Western Conference.

Doncic is having a terrific 2023-24 NBA season, averaging 30.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game for the Mavericks.

If he can maintain these numbers while leading the Mavericks to a good record in the Western Conference, Doncic could become the frontrunner to win the first NBA MVP award of his career.
