Alisa did not want to marry the man her parents are forcing her to, she knows he is behind her sister’s death and feels the marriage will lead to her own death. When a Liam Crowley offers her an out, she takes it. Liam has his own reasons why he wants to unsettle the lay of the land in Portland being run by the man who Alisa was supposed to marry. He wants to take over the territory and Alisa is a beautiful bonus. Liam wants the marriage in all ways a marriage should be, will Alisa be his biggest prize ever?
There is a ton of stuff that unfolds in this one. I had been curious about Liam as he has a bit of a reputation in previous books and this did not disappoint. He is a bit of a more hair trigger member of the Crowley Mafia and this was everything I had hoped. Alisa is wonderful, I felt for her with her family dynamic. Wonderful story.
