Alex Moreno admits he was left with mixed feelings after Aston Villa’s 2-1 win at Brentford on Sunday.
The left-back rectified for an earlier mistake to score his first Premier League goal which put Villa back on level terms at the Gtech Community Stadium, before Ollie Watkins bagged a winner in the 85th minute. Moreno was at fault for Brentford’s opener late in the first half as he failed to clear his lines after Villa had initially cleared the danger from a corner, before Keane Lewis-Potter pounced on the defender’s hesitation and slammed into the net.
Moreno was a constant threat for Villa against Brentford, who struggled to keep a lid on his movement down the left wing. He snuck in at the back post to score an equaliser for Villa minutes after Ben Mee was sent off for the hosts.
