“America’s Got Talent” recently mourned the tragic loss of contestant Emily Gold, a 17-year-old dancer from Los Osos High School. Emily, who had performed with her school’s dance team and impressed the judges, died by suicide on September 13, 2024. Just weeks before her death, she had received praise from Simon Cowell for the team’s energetic performance during the show’s quarterfinals. Her passing has deeply saddened the AGT community and her family, who are receiving support through a GoFundMe campaign.
