Nightwish set the release another new album

Nightwish is set to release their highly anticipated new album, Yesterwynde, on September 20, 2024. This marks their tenth studio album, following 2020’s Human.

:II: Nature. Described as a “fantastical voyage through time, memory, and the better angels of human nature,” the album has been three years in the making. According to keyboardist and founder Tuomas Holopainen, the album will be a blend of symphonic elements with some heavier sounds, making it distinct from its predecessor.

Drummer Kai Hahto hinted that Yesterwynde would incorporate heavier music while still featuring the band’s signature symphonic orchestration. Notably, Nightwish has decided not to tour for this album, citing personal reasons unrelated to vocalist Floor Jansen’s pregnancy​
