Heart Rocker Ann Wilson Lists Florida Home for $2 Million—5 Years After Ditching Seattle for the Sunshine State
Maybe legendary rocker Ann Wilson left her “Heart” in Seattle after all. After a much-talked-about move from her longtime home in Washington to Florida in 2019, Wilson has now listed her waterfront estate in the Sunshine State for $2 million.
The move comes nearly three months after the 74-year-old revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer, sharing a heartfelt statement on Instagram in which she explained that she was being forced to pause her tour and take “the rest of the year away from the stage.”
She added that, while she’d had a “successful” surgery, her doctors had advised her to undergo a course of “preventative chemotherapy,” but that she had hopes of returning to her tour in 2025.
The rock ‘n’ roll icon, who spent the majority of her life and career in Seattle, caught many of her friends by surprise when she sold her Capitol Hill mansion—a famed grunge-era party house she’d lived in for decades—and moved to the opposite corner of the country.
She later admitted that the move had not been easy for many reasons, not least because of the states’ different political leanings. (Seattle is historically blue, and Florida is typically red.)
