The New York Jets are looking to extend their two-game winning streak when they face the Denver Broncos in Week 4. Ahead of the matchup, the Broncos have suffered a huge loss on defense. The team placed starting linebacker and captain Alex Singleton on season-ending injured reserve on Wednesday with a torn ACL.
Despite suffering the injury in the first quarter of Denver’s Week 2 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Singleton still played the rest of the game and ended up leading the team with 10 tackles. In response to the move, Denver signed linebacker Zach Cunningham to their practice squad.
Heading into the matchup, both teams are coming off of big wins in Week 3. The Jets dominated the New England Patriots in their home opener, while the Broncos picked up their first victory of the season in an upset against Tampa Bay. While he may not start for Denver, the game will also be a return to New York for quarterback Zach Wilson, who the Jets selected with the second overall pick back in 2021.
