The Scotland star and his teammates topped their Europa League group with a late winner over Marseille.
Billy Gilmour turned in one of the games of his life as Brighton won their Europa League group last night, according to supporters.
The Scotland star was superb in the middle of the park as the Seagulls scored a massive late winner through Joao Pedro to beat Marseille and emulate Rangers in getting to the last 16 of the European competition. Without that late goal, they would’ve finished second behind the French side and would have had to negotiate an extra round.
Fans were clearly buzzing with the result but on an individual level they were hugely impressed by the show Gilmour put on in the middle of the park. After struggling for game time previously, he is thriving under Roberto de Zerbi and last night may jut have been a proper coming of age at club level.
