Westlife fans have been left reeling after Nicky Byrne tagged former bandmate Brian McFadden in a throwback picture.
The Irish boy band was formed in 1998, comprising of Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne and Brian McFadden.
Taking to Instagram last month, Nicky shared a newspaper clipping from 6 December 1998 — 26 years ago.
The clipping comes from the Sunday World and was sent to the singer via a fan.
The article is written by Boyzone singer Ronan Keating who extended a ‘million thanks to all our fans’ and featured a picture of Ronan alongside the former Westlife.
‘Check this,’ Nicky shared alongside the newspaper cut-out, ‘This was sent to me — found behind a window frame! December 6th 1998 only 26 years ago.’
The former Dancing with the Stars presenter tagged his fellow bandmates as well as his former bandmate Brian and the Boyzone singers — leaving fans begging for a reunion with Brian.
One said: ‘Nice photo but who else got emotional seeing Brian was mentioned in the caption?’
Another added: ‘Nicky adding Brian as a collaborator on this post? I’m honestly sobbing over here.’
A third commented: ‘I hope for a Brian McFadden reunion with Westlife.’
In 2016, Brian formed a new band alongside former Boyzone singer Keith Duffy called Boyzlife.
