Derby County player ratings v Bristol City 3 -0

Brilliant Derby Countysecured their second win in the Championship as goals from Kenzo Goudmijn, Kayden Jackson and David Ozoh secured a 3-0 victory to ruin Max Bird and Jason Knight’s return to Pride Park.

Goudmijn struck his first goal for the club with an effort outside the box and that lead was doubled after the break when Jackson hit a stunner from just inside the box.

City had actually find some rhythm after a lively opening with Scott Twine’s movement in between the lines causing a problem that ended with Sinclair Armstong being denied by Jacob Widell Zetterstrom.

Jacob Widell Zetterstrom: Made two excellent saves to deny Sinclair-Armstrong at a key time in the game. Made himself really big and smothered the striker as quick as he could. Made another great stop after the break and had hands like saucepans. 8.5

Ryan Nyambe: Has been an incredible bit of business on a free transfer when you consider his quality. Championship defender every day of the week. Never appears rattled. 8

Curtis Nelson: Made such a crucial block to deny Scott Twine in the first half and won a massive hug from Zetterstrom. A big performance from last season’s player of the year. 8

Eiran Cashin: Returned to the fold and it’s not just his defending that is quality, but his work on the ball. If Derby want to play out from the back then you need centre-backs who can pass it. He ticks that box. 8

Callum Elder: Showed one or two moments of quality link-up play as he tried to carve City open down the left-hand side. Put his bundle into this game. 8

Ebou Adams: Wasn’t there to be flashy but to protect and try to stop City’s key operators from finding space. Won a couple of crunching challenges and a performance full of heart. 8

Kenzo Goudmijn: The Flying Dutchman is up and running for the season and scored a cracker of a first goal for the Rams. Nearly added a second and got into some intelligent spaces. 8.5

David Ozoh: Was always going to be a great battle between him at Max Bird and it was a fascinating watch as two talented players went at it. Strong, athletic and capped off a commanding display with a goal. 8.5
