Evanescence’s Amy Lee denies rumours that she will be Linkin Park’s new singer.

But if asked, she would consider a possible part-time position with Linkin Park.

Amy Lee, the lead singer of Evanescence, has dispelled rumors that she may replace Linkin Park as the band’s vocalist.

Jay Gordon, the leader of Orgy, ignited speculation earlier this month that Linkin Park might soon make a comeback with a new female vocalist. In an interview, Gordon went on to remark, “Don’t quote me on that,” in response to questions concerning what he had said. Although I’m not sure who will sing, I’ve heard it will be a girl. They may simply attempt to move on in that manner. That should make for some interesting reading.

Gordon later released the following statement to elucidate his remarks: “Regarding this singer thing from Linkin Park,” he wrote. “I have no knowledge of any of that. People really like misinterpreting what I say. I hope the best for those guys since I love them.

Although Gordon seemed to claim that interviewer Mike Z had suggested the new female singer, it was actually Gordon who brought up the topic spontaneously. When NME reached out to Linkin Park, their representatives said they couldn’t comment on the rumors.

However, there have been rumors that Linkin Park would be led by a female vocalist, and some have even suggested that Amy Lee of Evanescence will take over for the late Chester Bennington, who passed away tragically in 2017.

Amy Lee vehemently refuted rumors that she has been in talks with Linkin Park to take over vocal duties in a recent interview with Canada’s iHeart Radio: “What a wonderful complement that is. That is not what I have heard. No, I haven’t heard from anyone or received anything similar. However, I’m a tremendous fan and I think a lot of the folks in both fanbases and worlds are similar.
